Scope of Work

QMC Group was engaged by DP World to undertake maintenance and pavement upgrades in various locations throughout its container terminal in Port Botany. In order that disruption be minimised to the terminal’s operations, the works were completed in multiple stages including at night and weekends.

We reconstructed over 8,500m2 of high-grade asphalt pavement and 300m2 of concrete pavement in areas trafficked by the 23 tonne container handlers.

Significant sections of the pavement upgrade also involved excavation and disposal of the existing pavements and reconstructing the base course with stabilised base of varying depths between 300mm and 1000mm.
