Scope

This project was undertaken to increase the strength of the Auckland and Eulielah Creek Bridges through breaking out and repairing the spalled concrete, treating the underlying reinforcement, installing stainless steel pile encasements around the existing piles, and using high strength fibre wrapping on the head stocks and abutments. Also a new waterproof bridge deck and new handrails were installed. This work increase the certified loading of these bridges to 44 tonne.
