On Saturday 10th May 2025, we celebrated a major milestone – 30 years of QMC Group and what a night it was!
The celebration hosted at the magnificent grounds of Curzon Hall was one to remember with a splash of magic by Australia’s leading magician, Adam Mada.
QMC family, friends, colleagues and strategic partners came together to celebrate our three decades of success, the people and contributions that have made it all possible.
From our humble beginnings in 1995, when father and son, Joe and Steven Commisso established QMC Group in the basement of a home in Baulkham Hills, we have evolved significantly.
Fast forward to today, QMC Group continues to grow from strength to strength having delivered some of the most technically and architecturally challenging civil infrastructure projects in NSW including the City of Sydney’s 5-year Civil and Sydney Street Infrastructure Works contract and Notts Avenue Safety & Streetscape Upgrade at Bondi Beach for Waverley Council, amongst many others.
Most recently, we have commenced the multi-million upgrade to the electrical infrastructure for lighting, electrical systems and CCTV at Australia’s oldest park, Hyde Park. Another iconic upgrade continuing a long list of projects QMC have delivered for the City of Sydney including Martin Place Siege Memorial, Darling Harbour Precinct Interface Project and Pitt Street Mall Reconstruction.
The Gala Dinner was an evening filled with celebration, dancing and honouring exceptional employee service milestones of five, 10 and 15+ years. We also celebrated our impressive average employee tenure of 5.4 years!
As we embark on the fourth decade, we remain grounded in strong family values and our commitment to continuous improvement, building excellence, safety and improving communities.

We look back with pride on the achievements we’ve reached, the projects we’ve delivered, the communities we’ve improved, the strong friendships and camaraderie we have.
