Scope of Work

The Changes to Speed Limits Project in Waverley included the construction of civil treatments and line marking to 34 different locations throughout the Waverley Council LGA. Some of the works were near Waverley College requiring QMC’s methodology to consider school traffic and pedestrians during the busy pickup and drop off periods.

Civil treatments included upgrades to stormwater, electrical infrastructure, pedestrian refuge island, raised thresholds, garden blisters and speed humps. This required demolition of existing pavements, construction of new stormwater infrastructure, new electrical infrastructure including ASP1 works, construction of new raised pedestrian crossings in 3 locations including outside Waverley College School, new footpaths, mill and re-sheeting of existing road with line marking and landscaping.
