Scope of Work

QMC was engaged by Watpac for detailed civil and structural works associated with this refurbishment and extensions project which won the 2012 MBA Excellence in Construction Award.

QMC works included the forecourt foundations and retaining walls featuring off-white off-form concrete to a high class 2 finish and all pathways comprising finishes of exposed aggregate as well as segmental pavers. QMC also installed the precast concrete seating elements that separate the front lawns and forecourt from the pedestrian promenade.

A particularly challenging element was the upgrade of a 450mm diameter mains sewer including 4.5m deep trench shoring and dewatering at this harbourside location.
